Nearly ten years ago we started with a small copper still, a recipe for shine and a guiding hand with more experience than the law allows. We are Craig and Meredith Amick, husband & wife, Owners & Distillers, Employees & Employers, and parents to Will, a young entrepreneur in his own right.

But to tell the whole story, we’d have to go back to the early 1700’s when our great grandfather 9x’s removed was given a land grant by King George II for 150 acres underneath what would become Lake Murray, SC. Having traveled from Germany with nothing more than a strong name and solid work ethic, Conrad Emig (later Amick) started a new life on the fertile soils of SC.

Ever since, generations of Amick’s have been servants of the land and their community. From farmer to ferryman, father to son, our roots run deep.
When you visit Hollow Creek Distillery, you’ll likely meet our family hard at work in the production room, labeling bottles, packing boxes, or right behind the tasting bar. We’re proud of our heritage and community but prouder still of our distillery and the legacy we continue to build. Come on in for a visit. We’d love to introduce you to our spirits, but first here’s our team:
9th generation. Distiller and Chief Janitorial Officer.
The muscle behind the operation.

10th generation. The man. The myth. The legend.
The busiest of the bunch.
The ambassador abuzz.
The happiest of the bunch.
Making people smile, one pour at a time.

Polish and professionalism with each sip.

Our official
Distillery Dog

Our faith runs deep and has seen us through good times and bad. You’ll always feel welcome, respected and cared for every time you visit.
Unlike bigger distilleries, we have been family owned and operated from the start. Board meetings happen daily around the dinner table. No corporate BS allowed.
Nothing ever has or ever will come easy but we never shy away from work either. No shortcuts. No apologies.
